My academic and research work examines how environmental change affects biodiversity and how science can support sustainable solutions. My research on urban coastal ecosystems investigates how climate, sea-level rise, and beach characteristics influence beach-nesting shorebirds, contributing to SDGs 13, 14, and 15. Earlier research in tropical agroforestry demonstrated how sustainable land-use practices can conserve biodiversity while supporting food production, aligning with SDGs 2 and 12. I have also led environmental education and community initiatives that promote scientific inquiry and environmental awareness, supporting SDG 4. Overall, I strive to connect science, sustainability, conservation, and society through practical, evidence-based solutions.
